Facetime on mac other person cant hear me
Joined: May 3, Messages: 26 Thanks Received: 0. I had no problem using my iPad and talked to my wife earlier using FaceTime. Now, when she calls me or I call her through FaceTime, she can hear me but I can't hear her. My iPad 2 volume is up and her phone is not on mute. We tried again several times and I was unable to hear her through the iPad. Anyone encountered this before? Joined: Dec 17, Messages: 2 Thanks Received: 0. Hi I have the same problem FaceTime was working ok but now I can hear the sender but they cannot hear me. What are we doing wrong as we also have vol to max.

It will show all the apps that you have opened at one time or another. Long press one of these apps until they start to jiggle and red minus signs will appear above them all. Press all the minus signs, this will close them, not delete them. It's a good idea to do this regularly just to keep them all running smoothly, I do mine every night. Check and see if it is operating now. Restart: Press and hold the power off button, the one at the top right.
You will see a slide appear to power off, slide this and the screen will go dark and a Whirly will appear. When the Whirly disappears your iPad is now off.
How to Start a Group FaceTime Call on Mac
Press the power button again until the Apple logo appears, this will take a few seconds and your iPad will start again. You should restart your iPad occasionally also as it will keep it running smoothly. Now see if it is operating. If not a reset is the next step. Reset: Hold the power off button and the home button simultaneously, keep holding them in and you will see the power off slide appear and disappear, wait until you see the Apple logo appear before releasing the buttons.
It will take a little longer for your iPad to start.

6 FaceTime Calling Issues and Their Fixes
Check to see if the internal microphone on your iMac is on. Open Facetime and click on 'Video' in the menu bar.
The internal microphone should be checked. I have been having issues with Facetime over the last few weeks. One thing I noticed when people could not hear me was for some reason when I opened Facetime it would default to another setting other than the internal microphone. Now I am having other problems where it is not working at all for either video or audio calls. I see in other Support Communities posts I am not alone.
I believe it might be a bug that Apple needs to fix. Jan 19, PM. Jan 24, AM in response to jenmeg In response to jenmeg.
This will put your computer into safe mode. Group FaceTime video chat allows for up to 32 participants to be engaged in the same active video conference, as long as those people are on a Mac, iPhone, or iPad, running the latest versions of macOS or iOS system software. That includes both the Mac making a FaceTime group video call, as well as the recipients devices or Macs.
If the recipients do not have sufficient system software versions they will not be able to join the FaceTime Group call. The participants of the Group FaceTime call will each be called and are able to join, all showing on screen. The following picture from Apple shows what an active Group FaceTime call on the Mac looks like with some wonderfully staged stock photo-esque people:.
Want to add another person or several additional contacts to an existing Group FaceTime chat? Remember, all participants and invited recipients of the Group FaceTime video chats must be using compatible versions of MacOS and iOS system software to have access to this group video chat feature.
